crime Feds Join Search for Suspect in Baltimore Armed Robbery 2025-03-07 A Baltimore duo is accused in an armed robbery scheme, and now federal agents have joined the search for the male suspect. Jayron B., 32, of Baltimore is wanted on several charges including armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, first degree assault and conspiracy to commit first degree assault. B. is also wanted in Baltimore County for an unrelated crime. According to investigators, B. and a female accomplice conspired to rob a male victim in south Baltimore's Brooklyn neighborhood back on August 12, 2024. crime Man Pleads Guilty to Setting Fire at Jewish Museum in Baltimore 2025-03-07 A man pleaded guilty in Baltimore Circuit Court to setting a fire outside the Jewish Museum of Maryland last year. Assadollah H., 66, admitted 'I was out of my mind because I was under the influence of cocaine. I wasn't thinking. I accept everything.' Besides drug abuse, H. also said he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. H. was sentenced to 15 years in prison but will only serve the time he has already spent in custody. After his release, he will be on probation for five years and must adhere to a mental health treatment plan. crime Former MPD Officer Pleads Guilty to COVID Loan Fraud 2025-03-07 Kalynn F., 34, from Baltimore, pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud after she was charged with stealing from both EIDL and PPP loans. F., a former Metropolitan Police Department officer, faces up to 20 years in prison for scamming the federal government out of $35,000 in COVID assistance loans. F. founded two companies in May and June 2022 to commit wire fraud, even though she was required to report any outside business venture to MPD. |
