Amazon Driver Turns Himself In After Hit-and-Run Caught on Camera in Baltimore 2025-02-21

An Amazon delivery driver, 26-year-old Jerome Allan Young Jr. from Baltimore County, turned himself in to police after a hit-and-run incident in Baltimore's Butchers Hill neighborhood that was captured on video. The video shows the driver hesitating as he ran over a 29-year-old woman crossing the street, then continuing to drive over her with the rear wheels of the van. The woman was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive. Young was charged with negligent and reckless driving, and more charges are pending.

Maryland State Police Arrest Two Men in 70s for Alleged Armed Road Rage Incidents 2025-02-20

Maryland State Police arrested two men in their 70s, William Shockey of Baltimore and Charles Provost of College Park, for alleged armed road rage incidents in Baltimore and Prince George's Counties. Shockey was charged with first and second-degree assault and related firearm offenses, while Provost was charged with similar offenses. No injuries were reported in either incident, but troopers seized loaded handguns from the suspects' homes. The Maryland State Police is actively investigating other highway gun crimes and urges anyone with information to contact them.

Baltimore Man Found Not Guilty in Fatal I-795 Crash 2025-02-20

A Baltimore man, Lashawn Wiley, was found not guilty on all charges that stemmed from a 2023 vehicle crash on I-795 in Baltimore County that killed Kaitlin Elizabeth Stranick of Hanover. Wiley had been charged with a felony count of negligent manslaughter by vehicle, a misdemeanor count of criminal negligent manslaughter by vehicle, and several traffic offenses, but was ultimately acquitted after a hearing on February 13, 2025.
