Maryland football bounces back with win over Virginia 2024-09-15

Maryland football bounced back from a close loss to Michigan State by beating host Virginia, 27-13, on Saturday night. Redshirt junior quarterback Billy Edwards Jr. had a strong performance, completing 28 of 43 passes for 263 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for a score. Senior wide receiver Tai Felton caught nine passes for 117 yards and a touchdown, becoming the first player in program history to accumulate 100 receiving yards in each of his first three games. The Terps' defense also settled down after a shaky start, forcing three three-and-outs, an interception, a fumble, and a turnover on downs in the second half. Maryland (2-1) will look to continue its momentum against Villanova, Indiana, and Northwestern before a matchup with No. 11 Southern California.
