3 men arrested for deadly shooting at Maryland house partyOctober 9, 2025

Three men are facing charges in connection with the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old at a house party in Maryland, according to Queen Anne's County Sheriff's officials. Kamryn A., 19, of Seaford, DE; James L., 20, of Queenstown, MD; and Travis L., 27, of Centreville, MD, are all being held without bond, charged with manslaughter, assault and reckless endangerment, officials said. The arrest comes nearly four months after Christopher Parsley, 19, was shot and killed during a house party on June 1. The shooting occurred in the 1500 block of Centreville Road in Queenstown, according to officials. Two other people were also shot, officials said.

Illegal Alien Charged with Murder of 19-Year-Old in MarylandOctober 9, 2025

Prince George's County State's Attorney Tara Jackson announced the indictment of H. Hernandez-Mendez on charges including common law murder, tampering with physical evidence, and improper disposal of a body in the death of 19-year-old DaCara Thompson. The body of Thompson, who was reported missing in August 2025, was later found in Anne Arundel County. Hernandez-Mendez, an illegal alien from Guatemala, has been charged with first and second-degree murder. Graphic details in the court documents indicate that Thompson was killed inside Hernandez-Mendez's bedroom on August 23, 2025, and her body was then transported and disposed of in an attempt to conceal the crime.

Fairfax County Police Arrest Suspect in Credit Card Skimming OperationOctober 9, 2025

Fairfax County police have arrested Marko P., 40, for allegedly running a credit card skimming operation targeting ATMs and payment devices at stores along the Richmond Highway corridor. The operation was initiated after two skimming devices were discovered in early September. During an operation on Sept. 11, detectives found seven skimming devices, six of which were advanced models equipped with miniature camera systems. The sophisticated devices were capable of obtaining victims' credit card data and PINs. The devices were found at various 7-Eleven and Dollar Tree locations. P. was identified as the suspect and was located and arrested on Oct. 2 in Falls Church. He was charged with identity theft, possession of fictitious identification, possession of burglarious tools, and conspiracy to commit a felony. Police have provided tips for avoiding getting skimmed, including inspecting card readers, checking for hidden cameras, and using contactless payment methods.
