Animal Cruelty Pharmacist Sentenced for Killing Dog with Prescription Drugs 2025-07-07 A pharmacist in Maryland, Ryan K. Ball, was sentenced to one year in prison after using prescription drugs to kill his 6-year-old Plott Hound dog, Louie. Ball pleaded guilty to animal cruelty and obtaining prescriptions by fraud.
