Mass Shooting in North Baltimore Leaves Four Injured 2025-03-29A mass shooting in North Baltimore left four people injured on Saturday afternoon, Baltimore Police confirmed. Officials say on March 29, around 2:22 p.m., Northern District Officers responded to the 400 block of Venable Avenue to investigate multiple calls of a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers found an 18-year-old man, a 25-year-old man, and a 60-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. All three were transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. A short time later, officials say a 57-year-old woman walked into a local hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound. At this time, police believe she was shot while in the 400 block of Venable Avenue. New Ad Campaign Encourages Respectful Interactions in Healthcare Facilities 2025-03-29The Maryland Patient Safety Center has unveiled a new healthcare workplace violence campaign, Care Flows Both Ways, that highlights the need for patients and visitors to treat everyone with respect as care is given. According to the Occupational Safety Health Administration, 75 percent of workplace assaults occur in healthcare settings, where emotions and tensions can often run high. The campaign reminds the public that healthcare is built on trust and compassion, but when tensions and temperatures run high, it's easy to forget the people behind the care—the doctors, nurses, and staff dedicated to helping the healing process. Hundreds Protest Elon Musk's Role in Federal Government at Owings Mills Tesla Dealership 2025-03-29Scores of protestors — one organizer estimated the total at more than 600 people — lined both sides of Reisterstown Road just southeast of the Owings Mills Tesla dealership on Saturday to decry the company's billionaire CEO, Elon Musk, and his unprecedented role in the federal government. Shouts of 'No oligarchs! No fascists!' came from the crowd, a mix of older and younger adults — even some parents with their children — most carrying signs denouncing Musk and President Donald Trump. The protest was part of a 'global day of action' to denounce Musk, just one of hundreds of protests planned worldwide. The demonstrations come after Musk morphed from the country's richest person into one of its most powerful political figures almost overnight, a rise both celebrated and despised. |
