Zeah is also facing charges for a previous shooting on February 14th. The community is shocked and concerned about the violence, with some questioning the level of security in the area. crime Former Baltimore City Employee Sentenced for Bribery and COVID-19 Fraud Scheme 2025-02-23 A former Baltimore City employee, Joseph Gillespie, has been sentenced to 4 years in federal prison and 3 years of supervised release for a bribery and wire fraud scheme involving COVID-19 CARES Act relief benefits. Gillespie abused his position of trust as a public official to accept bribes from property owners in exchange for removing or extinguishing their financial obligations to the city, causing losses of over $1.25 million. He also submitted a fraudulent PPP loan application to obtain $138,000 in COVID-19 relief funds. shooting Two Former Ocean City Police Officers Killed in Separate Incidents 2025-02-23 Two former Ocean City police officers, Cameron Girvin and Andrew Duarte, were killed over the weekend in separate incidents in Virginia and Pennsylvania.
