Maryland Police Disrupt 11 Illegal Car Rallies, Make 7 Arrests 2024-09-02Members from the Maryland Car Rally Task Force working in collaboration with the Maryland State Police Special Operations Division, the Baltimore Regional Auto Theft Task Force (RATT) and allied police agencies disrupted eleven unlawful exhibition driving events throughout Baltimore and in Prince George's and Anne Arundel counties last night. Police responded to several locations where up to 200 participants gathered in parking lots attempting to shut down intersections throughout the region. Police made seven arrests in total, recovered one stolen vehicle and an illegal firearm. Maryland Police Bust 11 Illegal Car Rallies, Make 7 Arrests 2024-09-01Maryland law enforcement's initiative to crack down on illegal 'street takeovers' continued this weekend when at least 11 gatherings were broken up in Maryland. The Maryland Car Rally Task Force responded to the disturbances in parking lots and at intersections in Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Anne Arundel County and Prince George's County. Some of the locations had up to 200 participants. Seven were arrested and a stolen vehicle and an illegal firearm were recovered. Man Arrested for Allegedly Entering Plane at Maryland Airport 2024-09-01The man who was arrested Friday after allegedly entering a plane at Martin State Airport faces two felony theft charges and two trespassing misdemeanors. The suspect, L., of Baltimore, entered the Middle River airport illegally when he drove past security. L. then left his vehicle and allegedly entered an aircraft owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group chairman and Baltimore Sun co-owner D. S. L. is charged with felony theft over $100,000, felony grand theft auto, trespassing on private property and trespassing on posted property, and is currently being held without bond. |
