My dear Randolph, In 1895, when wars and conflicts were upheaving the world, an event, apparently insignificant, happened on September 21, of that year in La Ciotat, near to Marseilles in France. Only a few people were witnesses and couldn’t imagine for a moment to be living something that would upheave the world for good. Since then, these few dozens of privileged people have left space for numerous people, who every day express unlimited enthusiasm for this discovery. Have you found what I’m speaking of? But of the first cinematographic projection of the Lumière Brothers in particular and of movies in general, of course! And why an email concerning this? Quite simply because I noticed that the room in which the two inventors of the movies made their first projections over 125 years ago is still in activity! I tell you a lot more about this mythic room that’s part of the worldwide cinematographic inheritance. Listen to it, it’s fascinating. I suggest you activate this link to learn everything about the Eden-Theater, the oldest cinema in the world. See you right back here to listen to me telling you a really extraordinary story. Esmeralda, A friend you can count on. |
